. FMQAI Performance Achievement Award--In February 2007, North Shore qualified for the initial phase of Florida Medical Quality Assurance Inc.'s statewide Performance Improvement Recognition Program. We are among 34 acute care and critical access hospitals to receive this certification and recognition. North Shore has now attained the first level of criteria for the final FMQAI Performance Achievement Award.
In addition to becoming certified as a Medicare Quality Improvement Organization-collaborating hospital in the initial phase, North Shore has:
- continuously submitted and publicly reported the full Hospital Quality Alliance measure set since 4th quarter 2005
- achieved a minimum of 80% data validation for all quarters
- achieved a minimum of 50% reduction in failure rate in these categories with these results--acute myocardial infarction 100%, heart failure 92.32%, pneumonia 96.62%.
