We are an organization on the move and our volunteers are a driving force. Their warm personal touch can make a difference in the lives of each patient and family member they encounter.

Volunteers Make a Difference

Our number one goal at North Shore Medical Center is to make every patient's stay as problem free and comfortable as possible. Volunteers help accomplish this by being advocates for patients and family members by answering questions or just lending a friendly ear. Volunteers also provide indirect patient support to hospital departments such as the C. Gordon Griffith Cancer Center, Department of Medical Imaging, Medical Library and Health Information Management Department. Some of our exciting volunteer opportunities include:

Where Would Your Services Be Needed?

At North Shore, each department is active and has special needs. We encourage our volunteers to state areas of interest in which they might like to be of service. We try to place our volunteers in those areas of interest or in positions as closely related as possible.
