The Community Cancer Center provides education and screenings to help combat one of the most deadly forms of cancer among American men.
Screenings are 1-3 p.m. on the third Friday of each month at the Cancer Center.
In the U.S, prostate cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed male cancers. Annually, about 260,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, and approximately 40,000 will die from it. According to the American Cancer Society, African-American men are more than twice as likely to die of prostate cancer than other ethnic groups. |
