North Shore Medical Center has three critical care units with some of the latest monitoring equipment.

Intensive Care Unit - providing medical and surgical patients with intensive nursing and other associated services. Patients being admitted to ICU from the Emergency Department must be seen by the attending physician prior to transfer.

Coronary Care Unit - Comprehensive cardiac care with a dedicated environment for convalescence and observation following a serious cardiac event.

Telemetry Unit - Telemetry unit has semi-private rooms. Patients may be admitted directly to the unit or may be transferred from other critical care units or other areas of the hospital.
