Donate To Help Hurricane-Striken Haiti
North Shore Associate Administrator Patricia Sechi and Chief Executive Officer Manny Linares kick-off the massive food drive for the people of Haiti.
Anyone wishing to donate non-perishable food items, clothing, blankets, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes can call Barbara Plizga, North Shore Medical Center 305-694-3714.  Deadline is Sept. 19.

North Shore Medical Center, along with three other Miami-Dade Tenet hospitals, has launched a massive food and clothing drive for the people of Haiti.

The island nation was devastated by Hurricane Ike, which caused massive flooding and loss of lives.

North Shore is located in the center of the area's Haitian community and will serve as the main collection site.

The hospitals are working in conjunction with the Archdiocese of Miami to collect non-perishable items, clothing and monetary donations for relief efforts.
