Accessibility Statement

We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.

We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.

Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact WebsiteAccess@tenethealth.com so that we may be of assistance.

Thank you. We hope you enjoy using our website.

CEO Welcome

Welcome to North Shore Medical Center!

matthew-garner-ceoOn behalf of our physicians, dedicated colleagues and caring volunteers, I welcome you to North Shore Medical Center’s website. I hope that you find it helpful – whether it is to answer questions about your health care, find a medical provider to meet your healthcare needs, or learn about the services we provide.

North Shore Medical Center has been a proud part of the community since 1953. We have evolved over the years from our humble beginnings providing basic care with 108 beds and 97 employees, to a 337-bed acute care medical center. One thing has remained consistent – our commitment to quality and safety is the number one goal of every colleague and physician of our hospital and it is one that we all strive to accomplish each day.

North Shore Medical Center is proud to be designated as the first Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center in Miami-Dade – allowing us to provide a higher level of stroke care for our patients. It means North Shore Medical Center meets the rigorous standard to perform Endovascular Therapy (EVT) around the clock, 7 days a week. Additionally, we offer a wide array of comprehensive services including Robotic Surgery, Cardiac Cath Lab, the state’s first JCAHO Accredited Chest Pain Center, Cancer Center with EDGE Radiosurgery technology (the only hospital in Miami-Dade to offer this technology), Comprehensive Breast Institute, and award winning Maternity care with the area’s only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

North Shore Medical Center was also designated with the American Heart Association’s Get With the Guidelines Stroke Gold Quality Achievement Award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus – Advanced Therapy, 2019 and 2020.

While we take pride in what we have accomplished, we remain resolute in our focus to addressing the future healthcare needs of our community through educational outreach programs that address the health concerns that are important to you. We hope that you will join us for our complimentary community educational seminars that we offer throughout the year. For more information, please feel free to call us at 1-855-767-8772.

Our team is honored that you are considering allowing us to care for you or your family’s healthcare needs. We are committed to every patient that comes through our doors.

Thank you again for visiting our website, and for your interest in North Shore Medical Center. If you have any questions while you are reviewing this information during your stay with us, please feel free to contact me or any member of our team.

Best regards to good health,

Matthew K. Garner
