Meet Interventional Cardiologist Louis Carnendran, MD

Dr. Louis Carnendran is an interventional cardiologist who is a member of the medical staff of North Shore Medical Center. He specializes in catheter based treatment of coronary artery disease, including coronary interventions using the highly specialized techniques of angioplasty/stents, intracoronary ultrasound, coronary thrombectomy and coronary atherectomy. He is board certified as a diplomate in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and internal medicine.

Dr. Carnendran was the Director of Interventional Cardiology and Program Director of the Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Tampa, FL (2006-2009) and has been a clinical investigator in many heart disease research studies. He is also well published in various American and European cardiology journals.
