 Wide Bore CT Scan

The wide bore CT scanner is designed to increase quality and service to patients.  

This technology is a multi-slice computed topography scanner with specialized features. It enables us to prepare and plan treatment with three-dimensional software. The virtual simulation technique allows us to dedicate as much time as needed to each treatment plan without patient discomfort or anxiety associated with standard simulator units.  

The wide-bore CT and special computer software are used to plan intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for treatment of solid-tumor cancers in all areas of the body, including prostate, breast, abdomen and head and neck. It helps physicians see precisely and in great detail where a tumor is located.
